To set up a public drop-off point, you'll first need to decide where your drop-off point will be. It could be your home, local school, or community facility. When you sign up as a public drop-off point, you will need to provide opening hours, when the general public will be able to drop off their waste, and the location that will need to be easily accessible to the general public, with clear signage. Public drop-off locations must offer access to the drop-off points for a minimum of 3 hours a week. If you also operate at regular community events, such as fetes, festivals, or community markets, please add the details to the notes section.
Follow these steps to join a programme.
- Log in / create your account
- Visit the programme page
- Make sure your location meets the requirements
- Click the 'Become a Drop-Off Point' button and complete your registration
You'll get an email to let you know we've received your request, followed by another once our team has approved it. Once accepted, you can start collecting your waste and sending it to us for recycling.
